Style S6448 was the style of choice for this Christmas for my daughter. The dress features a natural line waist, gathered skirt, rounded collar, cap sleeves, and a detachable sash long enough to make a beautiful bow in the back. The bodice is black velvet, all other parts are taffeta The entire dress is lined and there is an added layer of netting to give the skirt an even fuller look.

I am still waiting on the official photos of this dress - it is hard to see the color or detail in these quick home shots. There is also a choker necklace that I made to go with this dress for my daughter - it is a velvet band with a hand-made taffeta flower in the same fabric as the dress.

This dress can be made in any formalwear fabric (Taffeta, velvet, satin, crepe, etc) It does not have to be made in the velvet/taffeta combination described here.

The dress featured here is not for sale. It is a custom size, made specifically to fit the measurements of my daughter. The bodice is black velvet and the collar, cap sleeves, skirt, and sash are all plum taffeta. This dress has a choker of black velvet ribbon with a hand-made flower in plum taffeta to match her dress.
